Welcome to the Massachusetts New Americans Agenda

On November 17, 2009, Governor Patrick released the New Americans Agenda Final Report. The report contains 131 recommendations on how to better integrate immigrants and refugees into the civic and economic life of the Commonwealth. To read the full report click here.

The New Americans Agenda porcess was launced by Executive Order 503 in July 2008. The Executive Order created a partnership between the Governor's Advisory Council on Refugees and Immigrants, the MA Office for Refugees and Immigrants (MORI), and the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA).

The information for the recommendations was gathered from a series of public meetings held across the state, which over 1200 people attended, in addition to policy meetings and state and national research.
